PRIVACY

Last updated 2026-06-15.

A plain-English privacy policy.

No dark patterns, no third-party trackers, no mailing list you didn't ask for. This page tells you what we collect, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it.

Who we are

Wargo & Wolford Consulting is a two-person consulting firm operating out of Portland, Oregon. The site at wargowolford.com is owned and operated by the firm. Email [email protected] for any privacy question, including deletion requests.

What we collect

We collect personal information only when you send it to us through one of two forms:

  • The contact form at /intake. Required fields: your name, email, business, what you need, and a short note about your goal.
  • Google Doc forms (scope and discovery) that we share with you by link during an engagement. These collect more detail (project scope, budget range, timeline, brand and content readiness) so we can quote and build. You choose what to fill in.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers, marketing pixels, or session-replay tools. No cookie banner is shown because no cookies are set beyond what your browser needs to render the page.

Where it goes

When you submit a form, two things happen behind the scenes:

  • A Slack message is sent to a private channel that only Brady Wolford and Marc Wargo can see. This is how we read your note and decide who responds.
  • A row is added to a Google Sheet that the two of us use as a CRM. The sheet is private. No third party has access.

Your submission may also be reflected in the email reply we send you, which is delivered through Google Workspace (the host of wargowolford.com email).

How long we keep it

We retain submissions for as long as we're actively talking with you, plus 12 months for our own records. After that we delete the row from the sheet and clear the Slack thread. If we end up not working together, you can ask us to delete your information immediately (see below).

Your rights

Oregon's Consumer Privacy Act gives Oregon residents the right to know what we have, correct it, delete it, and to opt out of certain processing. We extend the same rights to anyone, regardless of where you live. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll confirm we received the request within three business days and complete it within thirty.

Universal opt-out signals like Global Privacy Control (GPC) are respected. Since we don't sell or share personal information with any third party, there is nothing to opt out of beyond submitting a form in the first place.

If you're in the EU or EEA, you also have rights under the GDPR — to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Our legal basis for handling a form submission is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): we need your contact details to reply to your inquiry. Email [email protected] to exercise any of these.

If you're a California resident, the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we've collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We keep this simple: we don't sell your personal information, we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. Email [email protected] and we'll verify the request by replying to the email on file.

Security

The site runs on Cloudflare's edge network (Cloudflare, Inc. — privacy policy) with HTTPS enforced. Slack and Google Workspace handle storage of the submission contents. We don't store form submissions on our own infrastructure beyond the time it takes the edge function to forward them.

Who processes your data

A few trusted services touch a form submission so we can receive and reply to it. We don't add anyone beyond these, and none of them use your data for their own purposes:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the site and runs the edge function that receives your submission (privacy policy).
  • Slack Technologies (Salesforce) — delivers the notification to our private channel (privacy policy).
  • Google LLC — Google Workspace hosts our email, and the CRM row lives in a private Google Sheet (privacy policy).

Children

Our services aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us data, email us and we'll delete it promptly.

Updates to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that affects what we collect or where it goes, we'll update the date at the top of the page.
